Surface: smooth. very few flaws overall

Stringing: knotted onto silk

Clasp: 14ct gold on sterling silver vermeil

Pearl Grade: AA

This necklace is a freshwater version of the classic early Mikimoto '3.5 momme strand necklace (called this because the usual weight of the pearls was 3.5 momme..mommes are a very old unit of weight just for pearls)
