Kintsugi Collection

Kintsugi ("golden joinery"), also known as Kintsukuroi (golden repair"), is the japanese art  of repairing by mending the areas of breakage with laquer dusted or mixed with powdered precious metal Breakage and repair are part of the history of an object, rather than something to disguise.

Our Kintsugi Gold Leaf collection for Autumn 2019 features a medley of pearls all enhanced by the application of gold leaf. Sometimes the gold leaf is embellishing a pearl and sometimes highlighting an eccentricity.

Gold leaf is carefully and painstakingly applied by hand to each pearl
